1.Brief introduction to the process of cashmere selection
The sorting of goat cashmere includes firstly the sorting of raw cashmere and secondly the sorting of washed cashmere. The firstly sorted cashmere shall meet the standards including loose texture, no long bundles of coarse wool, no large size impurities and any impurities shall be less than 2%. The percentage of non-animal fibers such as polyethylene and polypropylene and other animal fibers shall be zero. Based on final product requirements, the sorted raw cashmere shall be grouped according to the difference in different color fiber percentage, fiber diameter and pure cashmere percentage. Afterwards each group of sorted raw cashmere shall be washed with water separately. The washed cashmere then is sorted again.

2.Brief introduction to the process of cashmere washing
Step I: Use the cashmere garnet machine to physically remove sand, soil and other impurities contained in the raw cashmere.
Step II: Process the cashmere through the washing tanks. There are five washing tanks in total. The first one filled with simply clean water. The second and third tanks include a mild detergent specifically developed for cashmere. The final two tanks again rinse with clean water. The water temperature in each tank is different.
Step III: Pass the washed cashmere through dryer. (Based on the ambient temperature at the time, adjust dryer settings for the most appropriate humidity.)
Step IV: Collect the dried cashmere for carding.
