1.Brief introduction to the process of cashmere carding

Before formal carding process, the washed cashmere will need to go through a machine that loosens the fibers and helps prepare them for carding.  After this, the cashmere will be carded 7 to 8 times for full completion of this step.

2. Grading of carded cashmere

The carded cashmere is assigned with three grades:

The first and second carded cashmere is of the best quality and thus classified as grade one dehaired cashmere product.

The dehaired cashmere produced from the third, fourth and fifth time carding is classified as Grade two product, its quality is slightly inferior.

The quality of dehaired cashmere from the sixth, seventh and eighth carding lots is further inferior and assigned to grade three.
